The GIANTS are proud to unveil their new 2023 Indigenous jumper, designed by Leeanne Hunter. Inspired by Darug language, the jumper is called Ngurra, meaning country and connection, and reflects the Western Sydney region’s bushland, rivers, and communities.The flowing white lines on the border represent the rivers, while the small round circles symbolize the suburbs and communities. The large round orange circles on the front of the jumper represent the players’ hometowns, and the footprints represent the GIANTS’ impact on Western Sydney.On the back of the jumper, the leaf shape reflects the surrounding bushland, while the large orange circle represents GIANTS Stadium. The footprints represent the players’ journey as they travel to the ground to play their matches.The hands on the jumper represent the players’ skill and the applause they receive from the Orange Army.
